Life After People

For those of you that couldn’t make it to the last Exquisite Weddings Launch Party, here’s what we choose to create. The table has come to be known Life After People, a reference to organic elements striving despite a harsh urban environment. Special thanks to Concepts Event Design for the linens and benches, Brightly Designed for all of the paper products and A Sweet Addition for the favors mimicking the centerpieces in chocolate an sugar.

Enjoy!

Sharon

Bricks set the urban scene along with glass spheres and moss.

Votives, linens and hemstitch runners added fine detail.

A little credit for our amazing vendors.

We used our wrought iron chargers to accentuate the urban feel.

Parrot tulips and helleborus were used to soften the look.

Succulents galore.

The White Flower’s Store Window

Today Sharon had the distinct honor of decorating the store window of The White Flower Bridal Boutique. The theme of the window is “Out of the Frost” represented by tulips growing out of snow in various vases and branches. To see it “live” you can stop by the store near the corner of 5th and Laurel. Enjoy!

Exquisite Weddings Table Top

Well it’s finally out!! The newest issue of Exquisite Weddings is finally out and it’s awesome! Along with our ad (one of Sharon’s favorites!) we have a really striking table shot by Terri Rippee and designed with Rachel of Bliss Events. Linens are by Wildflower, Chairs by Concepts, accessories by Rachel Lorraine and dinnerware from a private collection. The table is a concept table for a bride’s maid shower, representative of the power of women. Here we have six female figures representing, literally, some of the women that have made the hotel what it is today… from Elisha Babcock that helped build it to Marylin Monroe that helped film it.

POP! goes my world

This was a super fun Exquisite Weddings Advisory Board Luncheon at the sculpture garden at San Diego Museum of Art in which bright POP! colors and themes were used to create a landscape for explosive ideas to be used in upcoming issues. Here are some pics from the event, click on them to see the rest of the images.

Sketching the Scene

This is a blog entry I’ve been excited about doing for a while. Before all big tables I almost always put together a sketch to properly describe the table to a coordinator, the client and/or the designers that will be work be working to produce it. I thought it would be fun to show these sketches along with the final outcome to show what has become of these sketches. I hope to show more of these as future table images are able to be release. And I pinky swear that none of the sketches have been touched since the florals were produced.

Enjoy!

Love… love… love…

Love is all you need… This was a wonderful shoot that we were privileged to be a part of because it involved some very special people. Last November we produced the florals for the wedding of  a wonderful bride named Colleen. Since then, with the help of her photographers at Betwixt, has become a model for additional shoots. These are a few images from a shoot designed for Style Unveiled, can you feel the love?  Click on the image to see more on their blog.

Fun at Scripps

Well it seems like we’re there almost every weekend but that doesn’t take away from our excitement of being at this great venue. This wedding was a fun one with lots of neat detail, including the cool color combos and kumquats in centerpieces. It doesn’t hurt that we had an amazing group, Concepts Event Design, Tim Altbaum, Crown Point Catering, Azucar and, of course, Lynn of Pure Planning to make sure it all went as smooth as it did!

Amazing bouquet sculpted by our designer Chelsea!
