50 Years of Love

Recently we got a wonderful request. It was from two siblings who wanted to create a really special day for their parents. They decided to throw them a lovely 50th anniversary and vow renewal party. Since the anniversary couple were such an avid travel duo, all the tables had lots of suitcases stacked upon them with stickers of places they had been.

Each table was then named after a country they had enjoyed together, decked by a coordinating bottle of wine and luggage tag place cards. Here are a few captured moments of the day, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Madeline and John

It’s always wonderful to be part of any wedding. We work so closely with a bride and her staff to get all the details just right for the wedding she’s envisioning. But when we get to become part of the family, planning with parents as well, seeing the wedding come to life really becomes a special moment. This was one that took a village, and you can see it in the details the family put together. The sweet work of A Diamond Celebration, Concepts, Rancho Bernardo Inn and Wayne Foster Entertainment didn’t hurt either though!

Here are some of our pics with the pros’ to follow, enjoy!

Anita’s Rustic Glam

Recently we had the great fortune of creating a beautiful setting for Anita and Michael’s Estancia wedding. Heading up the charge was Merilee and her team at Ever After Events, as well as the all star team at Estancia La Jolla.  With lovely touches like a cake from CAKE, and the rocking sounds and lighting of Tim Altbaum Productions, they were already off to a great start. We loved coming in with some heaping florals that really filled the high ceiling of this stunning room. Here are some of our shots, images by True Photography soon to come!

Sweet Paper

I loved this sweet wedding. When I first met Ali, I knew she had a lot of crafty tricks up her sleeve. Her and her fiance had already been wrapping cans with unique papers in anticipation of their floral design meeting. She, being a graphic designer, understood the importance of intricate detail through paper walking hand in hand with her other decor. Here you’ll see all of her sweet details which, connected together, wove a very sweetly crafted wedding.

Enjoy!

Jenna and Robbie’s Mariachi Madness

Recently we had a particularly fun wedding, due in part to an absolutely wonderful couple and family including Jenna’s mom, Pam! They threw such an amazing blow out for their family and friends including maracas to shake when the couple kissed at ceremony and a mariachi band to lead the guests to cocktails. I loved that each table was entirely different from any other in the room. Check out these fun decor details like streaming ribbons, metal stars and glass in colors galore!

Special thanks to Lindye Galloway and her fantastic LA and OC team, and of course the rock stars at Estancia.

Living Magazine Smile Booth for Exquisite Weddings!

This is one of my favorite things we’ve done, a live version of the current issue of Exquisite Weddings for their launch party. I dreamed it up during a sleepless night in Los Angeles. It began as a smile booth with flowers in between the frames that party goers would stick their head through. Then it became the backdrop of The Scream, where people would pose with their hands on their cheeks. But I realized it could be so much more unique and interactive than that. What we ultimately created was a living, breathing version of the current issue of the issue which party goers could pose in front of like the two on the cover, complete with props like a bouquet and boutonniere like the couple on the cover had.

Decked by the unique stationary lettering and credit sign of Bamboo Star and shot by the amazing Sharon De La O (her pics will be up soon), this station was an absolute hit!

Special thanks to our amazing team as well as the one at Exquisite Weddings and the Westin Gaslamp.

From One Sharon to Another

When our Sharon met this one, they had an instant connection, having the same uncommon name helped :). So when our bride Sharon wanted us to create a sparkly and crisp modern wedding at Andaz, we of course leaped at the chance. With the help of the ever so talented Naomi Goodman of At First Blush, this dazzling wedding was sure to be a hit. Enjoy a little rooftop charm as we make our way through this fun wedding!

Tangarine Tango!

A few weeks ago we had another delightful wedding at one of our favorites, the beautiful Estancia in La Jolla. It was a stunning modern wedding in white, tangerine, pewter and touches of teal. I loved how the intimacy of this wedding allowed us to really load each area with color and texture. It also didn’t hurt that we had an amazing team headed up by Christina of Bliss Events.

Enjoy!

Alina’s Estanica

With all the weddings that we get to produce florals for at Estancia La Jolla, I’m always amazing by how many different looks their venue will take. Here is our bride Alina’s version with three different looks and a lush head table. Special thanks to Merilee and team at Ever After Events and the ever wonderful cast and crew at Estancia.
