It occurred to me that we’ve been neglecting the blog. It seems that all of our information is going out through facebook. Want the inside scoop? Simply Like us to get the dirt… and the flowers, and the succulents :).

If you don’t have your wedding dress yet, I’ve just planned your Saturday! The White Flower Bridal Boutique is having a sample sale of all the wedding gowns that need to be cleared out for the new models. The dress is just as amazing as it ever was, now it just costs less allowing you to spend that money elsewhere… like on flowers LOL!
In any case, make sure to check it out!
Earlier we did a story on Sharon’s old roommates and how many of them have now been married, surrounded by flowers from the company they helped get its start. Here’s another one.
Mike, or Mikey as she still calls him, met his now wife, Katie, before he even came to UCSD back in 2002. They were dating then from a distance when he came to San Diego and she remained in Los Angeles. After college he returned to Los Angeles at which point they finally got to take the “long distance” out of their “long distance relationship”. Last month, on 10.10.10, they sealed the deal. Sharon got the call, it was time.
Thrilled to be a part of this wedding that was now starting it’s planning phase Sharon of course agreed that the company would happily travel to Santa Monica, CA to decorate this amazing day. And they did, as they often do, deliver this precious cargo hours away to where it was needed.
Here are some special shots captured by John Partridge Photography of the happy couple that finally got their day.
While working as wedding planners, Wynn Austin and Janice Tran’s appreciation for couture-like accessories and unique wedding décor (& home decor!) inspired us to launch Le Chic Wedding Boutique (a division of Le Chic Wedding Consulting). Our mission is to showcase collections from up and coming designers that are known for their artistic, modern, and fresh wedding designs and style. Our goal is to be a provider of unique, quality and chic wedding decor and accessories to bride and grooms to be. We really want to cater to a crowd that can appreciate the craftsmanship that comes with unique, one of a kind pieces. We carry some very interesting and original pieces that will make any wedding day or special occasion memorable.
Earlier this week we had the absolute honor of producing florals for the devastatingly charming Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Marianna and Jean set the scene with their remarkable setting, added to by blush/olive taffeta linens by Concepts Event Design. After a wonderful meal there was a big reveal of a night club also by Concepts, followed by a late night snack because these ladies don’t miss a beat! The next morning, following a fantastic night’s stay at this amazing San Diego property, these lucky coordinators were treated to a lovely breakfast. Here are some pics of the delicate floral displays we produced to compliment this unreal event. Thank you all for an awesome time!
A fun silk and velvet wrap with a lacy button finish.
Multiple vase configuration as one floral piece.
Elevated pouring arrangements and goblets.
Well I wish I could do a full disclosure but it’s top secret till the magazine comes out in March. I’ll tell you that we went with a fun pallet that really embodies all that is the selected venue while touching on San Diego history. Can’t wait for you to see it, our table partner Bliss Events and team OE put a lot of ourselves into it.
Earlier this week were privileged to have our work displayed in The Wedding Chicks. Aided by an amazing team of wedding geniuses we were able to create a nautical wonderland of marital bliss. Check out the image (there are more to click on through a link) and remember to leave a comment for us to find!
Check it out now at The Wedding Chicks!
A few nights ago we had the amazing opportunity to strut our stuff at the Exquisite Weddings Launch Party with a fun new table top as part of the DRI line. It makes the cut because of it’s use of local product, recyclable containers and minimal water use. The design is a floral expression of the works of Frank Gehry who is, without a doubt, Sharon’s favorite architect having now studied three of his buildings in three different countries (Disney Concert Hall, Guggenheim in Bilbao and Dancing House in Prague).
Special thanks to everyone at Exquisite for the opportunity to “shine” and to our other shining vendors, Concepts, Rock Paper Scissors and Kool.
Our design, “Petal to the Metal” is an homage to his amazing art. We wanted to create a version of his twisted metal that perhaps would gush with flowers, here is the result. Watch as the flowers pour like water and spray in droplets. This table will be in an upcoming blog in which we will display a series of table tops as both their story board sketches as well as the ultimate results.
You can see the overall table here, swirls and drops represented in various elements of the overall table.
Rock Paper Scissors did an amazing job on the place cards.
Chargers and napkins by Concepts Event Design.
Table and Chairs provided by Kool.
I had an amazing celebration the other night, our child named Organic Elements turned 5 years old! Though I (Sharon) began designing 14 years ago, my rebirth was 5 years ago with the launch of this company. I was honored to celebrate it during a night out with the core designers, as well all did exactly one year earlier.
In the summer we had a wonderful couple which collaborated with us to create a beautiful and rich floral wonderland. Though overall the look was modern, there were some unique touches that were clearly “Old World”. Though it was technically out of season the bride was determined to get a flower which was significant to both of them to be the sole array of her bridal bouquet. Though it was extremely hard to find, one of our wholesalers championed for us and found a rare supply. Special thanks to Joshua of Joshua Aull Photography for these amazing pics. Enjoy!
Woodsy and rich ceremonial florals.
